Will Coffey pulls it w. the tranny connected (and I think he has to unbolt part of the front cross member to do it). At my place we always drop the tranny - I have a tranny jack that really pays for itself every time we use it. We also don't really have enough room to take the whole drive train out at one time because you need a good bit of room to manuver backwards w. the hoist. I've not pulled one whole before so really what I need to do is see Will in action and learn the details of how he does it and what all is required. Dropping a 5spd isn't really that big a deal, auto tranny on the other hand is a whore IMHO, but I'd rather just not work on them in the 1st place.
